WAS IST DER CS.1-DÄMPFER?
Der Pademelon CS.1 ist ein kompakter, hydraulischer Drehschieberdämpfer, der vollständig im Gabelschaft integriert ist. Er ersetzt die serienmäßige Ahead-Kralle und die Ahead-Kappe und fügt sich nahtlos in das Cockpit ein. Das Gerät wird an einer speziellen Halterung am Rahmen befestigt, wodurch eine direkte Verbindung hergestellt wird, die Lenkbewegungen effektiv kontrolliert.
POSITIONSENSIBEL
Der CS.1 bietet positionsabhängige Dämpfung und bietet konstante Unterstützung in einem Bereich von 70 Grad, in dem die maximale Dämpfungsunterstützung am effektivsten ist. Zwischen 35 und 90 Grad ist dieser Effekt absichtlich nicht vorhanden, um ein einfaches Manövrieren in engen Kurven ohne Widerstand zu gewährleisten. Wenn die Stangen in die Mitte zurückkehren, wird die Dämpfung oder der Widerstand entfernt, um eine präzise Steuerung zu ermöglichen und sicherzustellen, dass Ihr Vorderrad auf dem gewünschten Kurs bleibt.
EINSTELLBARE UNTERSTÜTZUNG
Mit dem Pademelon CS.1-Lenkungsdämpfer können Sie den Widerstand gegen unerwünschte Vorderradbewegungen feinabstimmen. Durch einfaches Drehen des Einstellknopfs am Dämpfer können Sie den Dämpfungsgrad problemlos erhöhen oder verringern. Die Einstellung reicht von keiner Dämpfung bis zu unglaublich hoher Unterstützung und bietet präzise Kontrolle mit nur wenigen Drehungen.
This steering damper really surprised me.
On challenging descents, it makes the ride much smoother and more relaxing.
On very steep climbs at low speeds, it helps you hold your line without sudden swerves.
I installed it on an S-Works Turbo Levo 4 (2025-2026) and it doesn't interfere with the frame or display even with the head tube raked to -1 degree.

For me it's a huge gain, it holds the chunk so well ,doesn't even feel like your wheel is going to deflect off line.

Have just installed this on my Giant Trance after no riding for 16 months due to rotator cuff, bicep tendon and musculocutaneous nerve surgery. My RH arm is still very weak but this has been amazing and given me the confidence to slowly start riding again. 2 rides in and very impressed.
Brought one back from Tasmania (Thanks Jeremiah) and I must say it’s the best add on since dropper posts. If you ride rocky / chunky terrain you’ll love the Pademelon Steering Damper. Got a chance to run it on some pretty rocky trails in the Lost Sierra and it is very confidence inspiring. The machine work on these units is of the highest quality so if you’ve been looking for the right piece of jewelry for your bike this is it !
It’s early days but initial feedback is WOW!! Granted, my use-case is pretty specific (mitigating neurological issues affecting grip, balance and coordination) but so far - it’s a gamechanger: more control up and down, less deflection, more relaxed on the bike. Only 3 rides in and I’m a convert. 🙏🏽
Super excited to have finally got my hands on one! The pademelon has the uncanny ability to feel like nothing at all but everything at the same time. You don't notice it on but you sure notice it off!! My single crown feels like I have the same control as my dual crown through the tech rock gardens. Can't imagine how good one would feel on a DH bike!
A great product, I found it excellent whilst climbing as well as descending.
I was a little sceptical in the benifit to a novice to intermediate rider however, i amextreamly impressed. It has inproved my riding and eliminated fatigue due to a bad hand injury.
Very very happy with this damper & great service & feedback in getting the right one & site installation videos made it really easy to fit. I can’t believe the difference your pademelon damper makes!! Especially as I’m a one armed mountain biker, it makes all the difference. Thanks team!!!

So far so good! Pademelon installed on 2022 Specialized Levo. Bike comes with headset cup inserts so pademelon doesn’t mount directly to frame. Standard Specialized 0 degree offset insert is completely round and rotates under load. Bar gluing into the frame have switched to the +1 degree headset cup as this insert has a lip to stop rotation under load - no issues. Running 170mm Zeb and likely balances original geometry in as a result.
Noticeable less fatigue on hands + far more stable riding across roots/off camber sections.
