OUR HISTORY

Pademelon may be a new name to the industry, but founder Jeremiah Boobar is no stranger to developing podium winning products (think TruVativ BooBar). Working with heavyweights SRAM, RockShox and Cannondale to produce some of the most recognisable components in the world, his career has helped evolve the rider experience for World Cup racers and enthusiasts alike.

Some time in the early 2000’s and while managing the BlackBox development program for SRAM, Jeremiah turned his attention to steering damping in mountain bikes. The idea was ultimately sidelined, but was never fully retired. Some twenty years later Jeremiah and his family would relocate from North America to Tasmania, and the idea was revisited.

Redefined to complement the relentless advance in modern bike technology and geometry, initial testing quickly showed the transformative effect of the advanced damper. A technology which now forms the cornerstone of Pademelon’s flagship CS.1 steering damper, bringing its benefit to all riders.

OUR

NAME

Pademelon is a small, furry, hopping marsupial common, if not prolific in Tasmania. They kind of look like a tiny kangaroo that ate a soccer ball. Pademelon is both distinctly Tasmanian and unique.
